Plasma Participates in AT&T Hackathon Developer Summit and CES 2015

Event Information

The Plasma team had the opportunity to attend the 2015 AT&T Developer Summit Hackathon and Conference with C2M (Formerly Connect2.me). The summit was held in Las Vegas, Nevada from January 3-5, 2015 at the Palms Casino Resort. The Developer Summit had a great selection of AT&T executive panels, speaking session, expo hall, and hackathon. This summit provided an opportunity for companies to come together and create awareness and contribute to the Internet of Things world. It also enabled many industry leaders, developers, designers, students, and entrepreneurs to collaborate, teach and learn.

The CTO Yasser Khan and VP of Client Marketing Ryan Roberts both were in attendance for the C2M team for three days at the summit to create awareness and showcase IoT products. @C2M was not only chosen by the judges to present, but also resulted as one of the top 20 finalists. A total of 600 entries were submitted to the hackathon by teams from around the world. Plasma and C2M team produced an interactive app called, “One” designed to make objects interactive with each other. In the demo, we used a mobile phone to send questions to a wired pineapple. The pineapple would reply very quickly to these questions: “What’s your name?” and “Do you need water?” The app then configured the response based on specific parameters and timeframes.

After the hackathon, our team also attended the internationally renowned, Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Vegas. This year’s show was incredible! Our Plasma team was able to engage with different companies and share ideas, experiences, and trends in technology.We are always excited to compare and contrast our innovations with other industry leaders to ensure continual delivery of top-of-the-line solutions and technology. We had an excited and educational experience this year, and we are excited to go next year!
